The world of blogging is a bit of a strange one. Before I started I used to read loads of different blogs and spend hours surfing the internet looking at all these people writing and doing. Then I started blogging and slowly I found I had less time reading the blogs that first inspired you. So I was delighted to hear from Cathie over at The Antics of Lucas . Who told me she had listed Grubby Little Faces for a Super Sweet Blogging Award. Now the award requires me to answer some questions and then to nominate 13 other blogs. Hoorah an excuse for me to take some time mooching around all the blogs I love and then to share them with you.
First though I would like to thank Cathie for the award. She blogs about her world with a very cute, funny, clever little person called Lucas. Its all about their life together as a family and the funny things he says. So thank you Cathie for taking the time to read Grubby Little Faces.
Cookies or Cake?
Cake with a hot cup of tea.
Chocolate or Vanilla
Vanilla cake. Chocolate bar.
What is your favourite sweet treat?
I was given a toblerone bar the other day and I was in heaven. There’s something about trying to cram one of those pointy bits of chocolate into your mouth without it hurting and then eating it whole without dribbling and then finally being rewarded with the gorgeous chewy bits of nougat amongst delicious chocolate. It also reminds me of holidays abroad as you always found the largest packets at the duty free shops.
When do you crave sweet things the most?
When stressed and if I haven’t eaten a good breakfast.
If you had a sweet nickname, what would it be?
Oh I struggle with this sort of question…ummm Maltesers as I love bubbles and a bit of an airhead? Mars bar as I like to work, rest and play? Gah! No idea. Sorry.
And the nominees for Super Sweet Blogging Award are:
Up the duff without a paddle – Amy Ransom - this blog is entertaining and well written by a lovely girl I have got to know through twitter. She’s just started blogging and published a book so please feel free to give her some support.
Up All Hours - The adventures and the sleepless nights of parenting
Down Side Up - Hayley is a mother of two gorgeous girls. Her youngest has Down’s Syndrome and, through her blog, Hayley gently educates about the condition. If you read nothing else on this list please take a moment to read her post What to say when a baby is born with Down’s syndrome. It’s moving, educational and will live with me forever.
Margot tries the good life - Follow her journey as she attempts to transform herself from self-confessed townie to country bumpkin!
Emily Beale Photography - Emily introduced herself to me at a blogging conference as I was on my own. She is THAT lovely! Her photography is gorgeous and it sometimes gives me goosebumps to see how she has captured a moment.
The Oliver’s Madhouse - Jaime blogs about her family and does great blog link-ups.
Dear Beautiful Boy – Lucy’s photographs tell her story. Simply beautiful.
Sew Scrumptious - she has a passion for sewing and is as nice in person as she is on her blog.
Dots and Spots – creator of all things spotty and dotty. Inspiring as I have followed her progress of making a living through selling her stationery creations.
Cotton Rose - loves to make her home look gorgeous. Some great make-over ideas. Check out the playhouse.
Trouble Doubled - twins, parenting, makes and more.
Needles, Pins and Baking tins - wish I had thought of that blog name. Does exactly what it says. Indulges me in all things sewing and cooking related.
