Watermelon and strawberry lemonade recipe

With the sizzling heat of July (I can’t quite believe I am writing that) we tried to cool down with this recipe for watermelon and strawberry lemonade. Refreshing and delicious.  Choosing to serve it in half of the watermelon was probably the children’s favourite bit.

Watermelon and strawberry lemonade

Ingredients

1/2 watermelon cubed and seeded
1 punnet of strawberries, halved
caster white sugar to taste
150ml of lemonade
Place the watermelon and strawberries in a blender and blitz them all up until really mushy. Push through a seive you have the time and patience. Then add the lemonade and caster sugar to taste (although we chose not to add any sugar).

Add to a watermelon and let the kids drink away.

I did make some more for my husband and I which we chose to drink from a glass. I know, boring aren’t we?

Thanks for reading and I hope we have a few more sunny days now the children are on holiday.

Thanks for reading.
